Overview

This is the Study N°1 - Allegro in C major of 25 Studies, Op. 60 25 études mélodiques et progressives - 1re suite de la méthode.

The original description was étude des gammes staccato which means studies of staccato scales, but it is not the same meaning as staccato has nowadays, this is a prelude¹ (introduction) of the entire work.

Goal

Study of scales.
